This is a beautifully produced hardback souvenir booklet for Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus (1960, 30 pp.), produced by and starring Kirk Douglas, also starring Laurence Olivier, Jean Simmons, Charles Laughton, Peter Ustinov, John Gavin, and Tony Curtis. The essays trace the movie's long and arduous production history. The illustrations include candid shots of the stars, and many color stills. One of the pages is a 3-page foldout, each page devoted to a drawing of the major actors in character. In very good condition. Included is the program (and ticket for preview) for the world premiere showing, Oct. 6, 1960, at New York's DeMille Theatre.
