Product Details
This is an original Mexican theatrical release poster for Bonzo Goes to College (1951), the delightful sequel to the cult classic Bedtime for Bonzo. Starring Maureen O’Sullivan, Edmund Gwenn, and of course, Bonzo the chimpanzee, this comedy puts everyone’s favorite simian in the spotlight once again—this time as a football star in college!
With the tagline ”¡El colmo de las monadas!” (“The ultimate in monkey business!”), this poster exemplifies the vibrant, exaggerated style of 1950s Mexican film posters. It features Bonzo front and center in football gear, surrounded by bright yellow cheerleaders, sideline chaos, and the film’s human cast reacting in comedic disbelief. The litho-style colors and bold cartoonish typography give it explosive visual charm.
