Product Details

Original Argentine one sheet poster for Safari Sensacional (the Spanish-language release title for Call Me Bwana, 1963), starring Bob Hope and Anita Ekberg. Distributed by United Artists and produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman (notable for their work on the early James Bond films), this poster reflects a unique South American design with added Spanish text and repainted title block — a hand-done intervention likely made by a local theater or distributor, as shown on the back of the poster as well.

The condition is Good to Fair overall. There is heavy wear along fold lines, pinholes, visible staining and toning throughout, especially on the back. There is also some tape residue and handwritten theater markings.

Collector Appeal:

  • James Bond Connection: Produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, making this a desirable item for Bond memorabilia collectors.

  • Latin American Variant: The Argentinian posters are printed in lower runs, often featuring unique titles, layouts, and local additions not seen in U.S. or European versions.

  • Camp/African Adventure Genre: Appeals to fans of 1960s comic adventures, Bob Hope, and Anita Ekberg.

  • Hand-painted additions and visible theatrical annotations increase its historical authenticity and uniqueness.
