Alfred Hitchcock's Rope (released outside the U.S. as "The Rope"), the classic 1948 Alfred Hitchcock New York City crime murder thriller ("Nothing ever held you like Alfred Hitchcock's ROPE"; "It begins with a shriek, It ends with a shot! From beginning to end nothing ever held you like Alfred Hitchcock's ROPE"; "Screen play by Arthur Laurents"; "From the play by Patrick Hamilton"; loosely based on the Leopold/Loeb child murder trial; this movie had a gimmick in that the entire movie took place in what appears to be one extremely long "take"; to me, it just made it seem like watching a stage play, and took away what differentiates a movie from a stage play!)
