Posters that defined an era

Plus a handful of 1940s–50s and 1990s–2000s pieces.

Dad's favorite poster design.

One collector's life's work

Authenticity & expertise

What makes a poster original

  • The one-sheet

The standard 27×41″ format printed for a film's theatrical release — the collector's benchmark.

  • Fold lines

Many original theatrical posters were distributed folded, while others were issued rolled. Fold lines can be a normal characteristic of an authentic vintage poster, not a sign of damage.

  • Theatrical markings

NSS numbers, studio credits and print codes that tie a poster to its original release.
